Hello, I'm Hannah Sage!
Hello, I'm Hannah Sage!
I write poetry on the spot for strangers.
You can find me at markets, cafés, parks, and sidewalks around Connecticut with my blue vintage typewriter, a folding chair, and an open invitation to ask me for a poem.
Each poem starts with a conversation. I love getting a glimpse into someone else’s world and translating it into a piece of art they can take home.
I’ve written about heartbreak, big life changes, cats, superheroes, stained glass windows, springtime, and missing home.
In an increasingly disconnected world, bespoke poetry gives people a reason to slow down, talk with a stranger, and feel seen.
I believe poetry — and small moments of listening and attention — can break down barriers and bring people closer together.
Poetry is for everyone, not just people who know iambic pentameter or use the word "bespoke" in casual conversation.
It’s meant to be shared, spoken, and lived outside of books and classrooms.
I hope to write for you soon!
